Mackay Botanic Gardens Stage Two

Dig-It drew on some unusul inspirations to create an appropriate backdrop for the Mackay Botanical Gardens. Fossil impressions in the paving were made with palms and a variety of large leaf plants, while the pallaisade wall was built with barnacle encrusted timbers from the old Mackay wharf. A system of coloured light poles to distinguish different botanical spaces was designed and constructed by Dig-It. Complimentary seating, lighting and metal shade structures were also incorporated into an overall, seemless design.
