Excellence With Pride

Dig-It’s Philosophy

Dig-It stands for hard work. It is a statement of our passion. We have a competitive spirit and are driven to be the best at what we do, we are proud of our people and our achievements, and we are a fun and friendly bunch to work with.

Six core principles underlie everything we do:

Our Philosophy

Our Story

Dig-It Landscapes comes from humble foundations, with bold ambitions. Dig-It has blossomed from a two-man team operating underneath a house in Brisbane in 1988 to an industry leader. We believe that the Friday afternoon beers we used to share out on the deck in the early days is what laid the foundations for our success. It was here when our competitiveness, camaraderie and desire for perfection began, with friendly banter over who could lay a better lawn, pave a straighter path, build a better rock wall, or plant the “schmickest” garden.

Now as one of Australia’s largest landscape construction companies with over 25 years’ experience, Dig-It has offices throughout Queensland, South Australia and the Australian Capital Territory. We have the capabilities and expertise to deliver on all landscaping, maintenance, and major development projects. We have always believed in “excellence with pride”, and that’s what we always deliver to our clients.

We’re confident that if you dig excellence, you’ll dig what we do!

“When Dig-It came on board with the 4 hectare expansion of the Brisbane Botanic Gardens (Mt Coot-tha) as part of the Legacy Way development, they took on the challenges with an enthusiastic and professional approach. Alan Burnell, who was responsible for the procurement of the 1,100 different plant species, demonstrated a real dedication to the project going “over and above”. He, along with the rest of the Dig-It team, showed a real commitment to getting the project right as a legacy for Brisbane and the State of Queensland.” Philip Kleinschmidt – Principal Landscape Architect, RPS Australia
“I’ve always found Dig-It to be up for the challenge with projects that are a complex & detailed mix of both ‘hard’ and ‘soft’ landscape works. They are well organised, courteous to deal with and most importantly competent in their work practices. They take the time to make sure our projects are well constructed with close attention to detail and an obvious desire not to cut corners.” Jeremy Ferrier - Principal Landscape Architect, Jeremy Ferrier Landscape Architects
“Dig-It were well organised, great to deal with and most importantly provided a good quality product within the time constraints.” Wayne Londema - Development Manager, Renewal SA
“Dig-It’s appreciation of the project and understanding of the specific requirements is what won them the project and they continued to demonstrate this understanding throughout the implementation as well. Dig-It completed the works to a high standard and within the tight program stipulated by the Council.” Zack Abraham - Project Manager, Toowoomba Regional Council
“Dig-It Landscapes successfully managed fabrication, construction and establishment phases of the Jacob’s Creek Bridge project which is located in an environmentally sensitive context with several challenges. Dig-It’s management of sub-contractors, clear communication and processes set a great framework for the project to be delivered to the required high level of detail and quality.” Josh Palmer - Director, Palmer Landscape Architecture
